All regular season ball games for Minor and Major divisions typically utilize a 2 person umpire crew: the plate umpire and the base umpire. New Westminster Baseball continues to use umpires in our Rookie division, too–typically at least a base umpire.
Players in the Minor division and up (ages 11 and up) all have the opportunity to umpire games! Parents, please encourage your youth players to step up to the challenge of being baseball game officials where they will learn responsibility, leadership and earn their own spending money!
Parents are also encouraged to step up and umpire baseball games – an exciting opportunity to officiate ball games with not only your kids, but any games you choose to work as well.
