Working closely with the Treasurer, Tournament, and Volunteer Coordinators, the Concession Coordinator is responsible for managing the league’s concession stand at NWBA tournaments and league-wide events, offering a convenient and enjoyable snack experience for players and spectators while also contributing to the league’s financial sustainability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the overall operation of the concession facilities.
  • Ensuring the concession facilities are properly sanitized and maintained.
  • Managing concession sales at all NWBA tournaments and league-wide events, as needed.
  • Organizing and keeping records of all concession purchases and sales.
  • Working with the Volunteer Coordinator to schedule and track volunteers to work the concession.

  • Training concession volunteers to open, close, and work their shifts.
  • Arranging possible external food vendors (i.e., food trucks) for league-wide events.
  • Ensuring the proper city and provincial permits are acquired for the safe and proper operation of the concession facilities and the engagement of any external food vendors.
  • Collecting and reviewing concession-related offers, including coupons, discounts, and bulk-purchasing opportunities.

All NWBA Board positions are elected for a one-year term that completes Sept. 30th of each year.
In the off-season, the board typically meets once per month, usually via an online meeting. During the busy spring season (April to June), the board, or subcommittees of the board, may meet more frequently. Other board business is conducted via the Slack app.
