NWBA’s 2024 AGM & Board Elections
A friendly reminder that New Westminster Baseball Association’s 2024 Annual General Meeting and Board Elections will take place on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 7 pm via Zoom.
The Zoom link for the AGM can be found in an email from NWBA which was sent out on August 13, 2024 to anyone who is a parent/guardian of a player registered in a 2024 program with NWBA, and/or who is a NWBA umpire, or the parent/guardian of a minor aged umpire.
Please join us at our AGM!
One very important agenda item for the AGM is the election of board member and division coordinator positions.
Board Elections:
NWBA is a completely volunteer-run association. Youth baseball in New Westminster CANNOT happen without parents/guardians standing up to be a part of the board.
Many current board members are moving on this year, as their players have aged out of Little League and/or are no longer playing. Please consider putting your name forward to volunteer for one of the board positions.
Please note all positions are elected for 1 year terms from one AGM to the next.
Executive Board Members:
- President
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Secretary

It takes a lot of people doing a small part to make everything happen. Some positions require more time or specific expertise than others. The Board typically meets every 6 weeks in the off-season (August to December), once a month leading up to the Spring Season (January to March), and as needed during the Spring Season, although we do a LOT over Slack chats!
If you have any questions about a position on the Board or wish to put your name forward, please don’t hesitate to email Ed Welch, NWBA’s President. We look forward to connecting with you!
